map of Cambridge

I have lived in Cambridge for periods of time . I was neither clever enough nor sufficiently academic to have studied there . A number of family relations did study  at Cambridge . My father turned down the offer of a place at Downing college preferring to go out on his own and get his hands dirty as a printer . His mother became hysterical but couldn’t persuade him to change his mind  He later became Editor – owner of ‘Books Ireland” magazine , a literary review . this publication is still up and running .   He had the benefit of a privileged education and was multi talented in Art , music , literature , theatre etc .    I taught myself to draw and paint and i have have managed to make a living as an Artist
